MSFW… or more officially known as Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, is Australia’s biggest fashion event.
So you can imagine how excited I was when I was asked to assist in the creation of the hero headpiece (or in this case a collar) for the fashion week’s hero campaign!
Australia’s best known milliner, Richard Nylon was asked to use his magical millinery skills to create a piece of armour fit for a Peacock Queen.
He asked me to help him with this hero worthy effort and together, we spent many hours working in the studio (some delirious from sleep deprivation), to bring the the City of Melbourne‘s vision to life.
On the day of the shoot, I was there to assist with the final fitting and with anything required on set.
You may not be able to see me but I’m hiding in the background of the MSFW Campaign… well kinda.
Can you see me hiding?
A girl’s gotta do what she’s gotta do, to get the job done (and the millinery to stay perfectly placed while the wind machine is blowing).
There were a lots of late nights (followed by delirious days) but the millinery madness was oh so worth it don’t you think?
Deliriously happy all round,
The Collared Chameleon xo
