Despite the name, Spring Racing Carnival isn’t just about racing. For some, it’s not about racing at all, it’s all about serious spring racing style.
The races are a perfect excuse for putting together the perfect outfit… in advance. This means you should take your time to think about what you’re going to wear
It might sound crazy but when putting together your spring carnival outfit… you should really start from the top!
Don’t start with the dress, head straight for the headpiece (or hat)!

Melbourne, summer is finally here! Well OK not everyday feels like summer yet but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make the most of the warm(er) weather, while feeling like a mermaid!
Which do you prefer… stripes or circles?
I remember being asked at school which one I preferred (why? I don’t remember!) but I do remember telling my teacher, in no uncertain terms that “I like stripes because they have direction and I don’t like going around in circles” (yes I was that kinda kid).
Searching for sneakers (or as some say ‘trainers’)? I’m always on the hunt for chic (but still comfy) casual shoes that I can throw on and run around in (whether that be running errands or running around on adventures) and I think that I may have found just the pair!
I may not be a guy (although I sometimes like to dress like one) but I know enough of them to understand their frustrations when it comes to ‘dressing up’ for special events. With this and my love for menswear in mind (I was meant to be a boy, so perhaps that explains it) I was pretty excited about styling fashionably fun menswear for spring racing.
Melbourne Cup is the day for fun fashion. So naturally, it’s the day I go crazy with colour and usually dress like a rainbow. It is spring racing carnival after all!
